OOTD: Staff Party and Hamilton

Usually, the only reason that the week before Christmas is hectic is because my family is getting ready for our big family Christmas party. This year though, there is so much more going on. I have an office holiday party, tickets to see Hamilton, and then the regular insanity that is the days leading up to Christmas. With that, I love the outfits that I have pulled for my two special events this week.

Office Party

I didn’t want to go too crazy on a festive look for our staff holiday party. In fact, at first glace my outfit doesn’t seem all that festive. Black and grey isn’t much of a festive look.

This outfit is all about the layers. For the main pieces, I layered a deep-V black shift dress with a grey and sparkly striped cropped turtleneck. Sparkles always make things a bit more festive, right? The sparkles brought in just a little bit of color that I could then accentuate with some accessories.

So accidentally, this outfit took on an Angelica vibe but I’m totally okay with that for getting to see Hamilton!

The velvet wrap dress gave off this very luxe feel that you want for a night out at the theater. It was comfortable and just warm enough for the dreary night that I had to walk out in.

The dress itself will probably become a staple in my wardrobe since it’s the perfect midi length for work or other events.
