Despite the daily swap between sweater weather and 80 degrees, I think it’s fair to say that the summer is just about over. And what a summer it was!
The summer began with my best friend coming down for a night out at the casino where we danced the night away and had a ton of fun.
From the casino to the top of New England: Mount Washington! Tim and I started June with a fantastic trip to the White Mountains (aka our happy place) where we hiked to the summit of Washington and back down. I have never been more proud of myself, honestly, because I never thought I could do it.
Interesting nights became a theme of the summer as Tim and I journeyed up to Boston for a concert at my old favorite; House of Blues. This did ignite a deep desire to head to more concerts and festivals soon– let me know if you have any suggestions!
The summer continued with my brother and I trying out an old family favorite. Carnivals just aren’t the same when you’re twenty three and twenty though…
Tim and I had a lovely weekend camping at the beach and, dare I say it, it was actually kind of romantic? Woah!
The end of summer began with a nigh at the ball park and an incredible experiment of getting to be on the field as our Kid Governor was recognized for her work helping those with cancer.
Then there was my day at Roger Williams Zoo with Callie!
We celebrated my mom’s birthday and gave her exactly what she wanted: a sash and spoons. Don’t ask…
Tim started to learn to play the guitar and my dad started teaching him some tips and tricks. Along with the song he wrote for me.
And now summer is pretty much over. Its consistently (or almost) sweater weather and the PSL has hit stores. Overall, I’d say it was a pretty good summer.
