Summer Concert Look: Sunset Pink

So this upcoming Saturday, I’m headed up to Boston for a concert. Not just any concert, an Infected Mushroom concert. Huh? Infected Mushroom is an Israeli music duo that got their start in 1996 and are known for producing psytrance, electronica, and psychedelic music. You can check out their cover of “The Pretender” by the Foo Fighters below.

Anyways, I had never heard of this group before but my boyfriend is a fan and convinced me to go. Well, we bought tickets on a whim and yeah. So now we’re going to see them at House of Blues Boston on Saturday night.

Me being me and loving to play around with make up, I thought this would be a great chance to play around with some of my more fun make up that doesn’t usually work for every day looks. That means that it is time to whip out the Too Faced Life’s a Festival palette!

For this look, I skipped the foundation (for now anyways) and focused on the eye look. Here’s what I used:

To start, I applied the Primer Potion all over my lids to give the shadow something to hold on to. I’ve been using the stuff for a few years now and love it. It makes everything last so long! I followed the primer up with Big Baby, which is a neutral matte beige color, all over the lid to make the other colors pop a bit more.

Next, it’s time to blend, blend, blend! I started by buffing Desert Vibes (warm orange brown) in the crease and a bit above to act as a transition shade. I then went in with a fluffy brush with Funtasy (a matte bright purple) and started to blend that into the crease and outer V. Once I was satisfied, I dragged that down the lower lash line just a bit. To brighten up the color a big more, I took a smaller blending brush and went in with Young & Free (a matte bubble gum pink). I applied this over the lid and a bit into the crease and outer V.

To wrap up with the Life’s a Festival palette, I applied Unicorn Tears as a highlight in the inner corner. There is just something about that iridescent shade that just looks so pretty! I then moved into the Foil Finger Paints– which have recently become a favorite product! I applied the Stargazer white iridescent glitter shadow all over the lid, focusing on the center. To turn up the intensity, I then added the Stargazer silver glitter in the same area. Bam! Glitter and no fall out!

To complete the look, I did a cat eye with the Epic Ink Liner and applied Perversion all over my top and bottom lashes. Done!

I’m still pretty novice at these kinds of looks but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I think this will be a great look for Saturday night! Plus, as I went through my summer clothing choices, this tie dye crop top just called to me. You can find it at Forever 21!

What do you think? What are your go to concert looks? Know Infected Mushroom, what are your favorite songs that I should listen to? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
