Who knew things could get so busy so quickly!
If you’ve been reading my blog lately, you’ll know that I had been planning on writing a post every day in March. Clearly, that didn’t happen. Why? Well, life happens. I had a plan written out for each and every post I was going to write but life got in the way. Things got wicked busy.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been deep into the behind the scenes work that brings a Regional History Contest to life. For me, that meant reaching out to legislators. It meant printing hundreds of student certificates, labels, and getting packets together for all who attend Connecticut’s six contests during the month of March. I attended two contests, once as a judge and once as a staff member. Let me tell you, this is exhausting. It can be rewarding but it is incredibly exhausting. There are long hours coupled with not enough sleep. You’ll be the first person at Dunkin or Starbucks in the morning. The staff there will hate you a bit but whatever.
I’m sure this sounds like an excuse and, well, to be honest, I’m sure most of you won’t really care. There is plenty of more content around the internet.
While this month didn’t work out, I do plan on trying to up my content and figure out the blogging balance more and more as I reach my one year mark on WordPress in a few months.
