Dreaming of Spring

After yesterday’s political rant, lets have some fun. Spring is right around the corner and that means it is time to have some fun and get outside! At least in theory. We can get snow for two more months here in New England….

Spring is usually not my favorite season. After this long and frigid winter though, I can’t wait to make the most of the spring. Especially since I’m headed to California in May. Spring 2018 is going to be pretty great! Here are some things that I’m dreaming of for this spring.

California Dreaming

The first weekend of May, I’m headed to the west coast! I’m excited for this trip for a lot of reasons. First, I get to see my best friend in her new home. She’s been living in Los Angeles for over a year now and I’ve only seen her when she comes home to Connecticut for the holidays. This time, I’m flying to her. Second, I’ve never been to California! I get to check off another state off of my list and bring my total state count to twenty nine.

Let me know if you have any Los Angeles recommendations for things I should see!

Play Ball!

I’m not usually a big baseball fan. I had fun at games with my family when I was younger but I much prefer going to hockey games. This spring, I’m excited to go to a Yard Goats game in my hometown, Hartford. Now, I know what you’re thinking. What the hell is a Yard Goat? Well, who knows. A kid named the team. The new stadium has become one of the crown jewels of the city and it actually seems to be worth a day at the ball park. There’s definitely a few theme days that I’m looking forward to going to!

Connecticut Trails

Through the Connecticut tourism department website, there are a ton of different trails to try and follow. Of course their are the hiking trails but there are also beer and wine trails, chocolate trails, history trails and more! I’m hoping to try and follow a couple of these over the course of the spring and into the summer.

These are just the few spring activities that I’m dreaming over in these last few weeks of winter. What are you looking forward to doing this spring?
