Now Reading

t100_novels_berlinstories.jpgThe Berlin Stories by Christopher Isherwood

The inspiration for the musical Cabaret and the play I Am A Camera, this 1930s novel explores Berlin as Hitler rises to power. The Berlin Stories is a collection of two novels, The Last of Mr. Norris and Goodbye to Berlin in which the author tells the fictional story of real people who he knew in Berlin. The stories include an incredible cast of characters that keep you hooked despite the slightly irregular style of the book’s writing.
